For comparison purposes, a human hair is roughly 100,000 nanometers (nm) in width.  One nanometer is even smaller than the width of your DNA and only 10 times bigger than an atom.  XTI-360 Nanocoating particles measure as small as 5nm in width.  That is small enough to fill surface pores in glass, plastic, metal, ceramic and fabric.  After initial treatment, XTI-360 remains in these pores, offering continuous protection, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for at least a year!

When natural or artificial UV light hits an XTI-360 coated surface, it acts as a catalyst for reaction.  XTI-360 produces super-charged ions of Hydroxide (OH-).  These super-charged ions surround environmental contaminants such as germs, VOCs and mold, and destroys them through the process of oxidation.  Trace amounts of Water (H2O) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) are released as natural by-products.  The released water is, obviously, totally harmless.  The amount of CO2 that would be released by an entire city coated wtih XTI-360 over a 10-year period would be less than the amount exhaled in a single human breath.

Ingredients – Green Technology

XTI-360 is safe and non-toxic (RoHs compliant), consisting of 99% Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), nearly 1% Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) and a minute amount of Silver.  That’s it!

Our technology contains no VOCs or toxic glues, making it the first and only binderless coating in the world proven to continuously kill virus and bacteria germs (confirmed by SGS labs) .  All other past and existing “self-cleaning” coatings contain harmful binders or glues, like silicone or silane (flammable), which will break down when exposed to light and cleaning solvents.  That makes other coatings detrimental to building materials and consumer goods, ineffective, or both.

Titanium Dioxide

Since the late 1960’s, scientists have known about the superior disinfecting properties of TiO2.  At the level used in XTI-360, TiO2 is approved by the FDA as an ingredient in food, skim milk, chewing gum, toothpaste, sunscreens and many other consumer products used every day. 

Prior to the creation of XTI-360 Solutions, it was impossible to coat surfaces with TiO2 without the use of an undesirable binding agent (such as silicone and silane).

XTI-360 is the world’s first and only TiO2-based surface coating that can adhere to any surface without the use of binders and has a proven efficacy rating of over 99.99%. 


Silver has been used for ornamental purposes, in contact with human skin, since its discovery, with no adverse effects and, for millennia, has been used in disinfectants and microbiocides.   Silver is regularly added to bandages and wound-dressings, catheters, and other medical instruments to prevent infection.
